Clinical Trials

At IND the clinical research team is committed to improving current treatments, diagnostic tools and ultimately developing strategies to slow progression and even prevent the onset of neurodegenerative conditions.

A major focus of the research program at IND is to develop tools (biomarkers) to improve the diagnosis of neurologic conditions and effectively measure progression of disease. Brain imaging has proven to be one of the most useful biomarkers for neurologic conditions. Over the years we have realized the key role of biomarkers in understanding the changes occurring in the brain. Biomarker development promises to provide the critical tools with the capacity to accelerate research in neurodegenerative disease as well as objectively monitor the effect of new medications.
